European Leaders Condemn US Move as ‘Intimidation’

European leaders such as Emmanuel Macron charged the US administration of “bullying and threats”, after the travel bans targeted figures that were at the heart of efforts to enact legislation regulating US-based technology firms.

“For far too long, European activists have spearheaded organised efforts to pressure US companies to suppress American viewpoints they oppose,” wrote a senior US official online. “This government will not stand for these egregious acts of censorship beyond its borders.”
