Ex- Doctor Accused of Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a ex- doctor stands accused of performing assaults involving 38 individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 to 2021.
One senior CPS official commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
The charges follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

Prosecutors said the forty-five charges comprise:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
