UK Culture Secretary to Convene Meeting on Maccabi Tel Aviv Supporters Prohibition
A law enforcement official from the West Midlands has called for an immediate review of the ruling to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv's supporters from attending the upcoming game.
The commissioner, who oversees the force, states that this appeal aims to determine whether the ban is suitable, necessary, warranted, reasonable, and a balanced measure to achieve a lawful objective.
"That must include evaluation of every and any appropriate, other choices," the official adds.
The commissioner has additionally requested to examine the official ruling and suggestion from the safety committee, as well as the law enforcement evaluation.
He stresses, though, that the ultimate ruling belongs to the advisory group and the authorities.
